Welsh is my second language. I'm originally from Monmouth (Trefynwy) in SE Wales. I decided to learn Welsh in 1984 but actually started learning it in 1996 aged 29 - there was no Welsh taught in the local schools when I was young, and Welsh for Adults classes were fewer back then - and no SSiW either! 3 years later in 1999 I found myself at university in Aberystwyth doing half my degree in Welsh. I moved to North Wales in 2003 and have been working (in Welsh) in Caernarfon since 2006.
