I started learning Welsh in November 2020 because I have an interest in languages, Welsh connections in my family tree and a desire to contribute to British heritage by encouraging the usage of a traditional language. I also have an aunt and uncle living in Port Talbot, though we are not in touch. I am currently studying Entry Level 1 with the Welsh Government syllabus provided by Swansea University.
I am a former IT worker, most recently a Business Analyst with Deutsche Bank, now retired.
