I am a sixty plus mother of two grown-up children and have lived in Llithfaen North Wales for over 30 years. I have tried a few different Welsh courses over the years but have never had the confidence or courage to actually speak Welsh outside of the home. My husband was a natural Welsh speaker and both our children are completely bilingual. I understand the language but just can’t seem to cross that bridge into becoming a confident competent Welsh speaker. I have recently found my enthusiasm to speak Welsh and although I have been studying on duo Lingo for a year I am still not speaking it! A week ago someone told me about SSI Welsh and here I am!
I feel confident that this is the place for me and that here I will find my speaking mojo.
I have sung in Welsh choirs and love the language and the culture but just need that extra something to give me the confidence to open my mouth and speak Welsh
