I’m a retired research botanist who moved to Wales 16 years ago. Perhaps because of lockdown I decided to start the SSiW course and now, in week 12, wish I had started last March at the beginning of lockdown. Why am I learning? I love different languages and Welsh sounds particularly wonderful. Furthermore, even though I live in the most anglophone part of Wales, it is still Wales and I should make the attempt.
