I was brought up in England in the presence of a Welsh-speaking grandmother who passed on her Welsh identity to me as a child, although my mother did not speak Welsh (discouraged from learning as a child in the 1920s). I grew up with a love of Wales although, apart from a few holidays, I do not really know the country. As an adult, I have lived overseas for a third of my life and am settled in Germany. Not too many Welsh speakers here but they do exist and I will try to seek them out post-lockdown. Looking forward to a holiday in Wales when it is safe to travel again.
