Hi. I am from Canada, originally in Montreal, but now closer to Ottawa. I have always been interested in languages, though as I was growing up, I was hesitant to speak French because I was very self-conscious. In my late teens, I Spanish and Russian in school, though I have largely forgotten them both, and learned some Japanese on my own. Now I would like to learn Welsh. Why?

My paternal grandfather came from Llanidloes. I never knew him, sadly, but family history is important to me and I love the idea of learning his language and one day walking down the streets that he knew.
