I did one year of Welsh in school, many years ago, and got no further than Mae Aled yn dysgu, which wasnt hugely helpful. I’m living in Wales now, just within the border, and as I’m a believer in learning the language of the country of residence, I’m very grateful to have discovered SSiW. My sister now lives in Llangollen and there is a Welsh conversation group there … I was made very welcome but was extremely out of my depth. However, this course does keep on moving, so I’m hopeful of making good progress. Annoyingly because of arthritis I’m currently not able to do many aspects of life which I love, but time is released for focusing on language.
