Shwumae. I am a Welsh learner. I am a decedent of Welsh immigrants and am very proud of the heritage. I’ve been studying Cymraeg intermittently since 2018. During the pandemic of 2020, like so many, I found myself with additional free time to study and have jumped in with both feet. I am using the SSiW and DuoLingo iOs apps, and recently have been taking an online Zoom class presented by learnwelsh.cymru I’ve found these live classes very stimulating and helpful. I’m beginning to deall a siarad Cymraeg! Bach iawn, ond mae’n ddechrau.
My profile photo was taken in 2020 on a trip to visit my sister in Baltimore. We love traveling together. She has been to Wales and has walked parts of the Coast Path in Sir Benfro where our ancestors lived before emigrating to Unol Daleithiau. The pandemic ruined our long anticipated return to Wales this past year. We hope to reschedule that adventure in 2022. Meanwhile I’ll study Cymraeg and learn more about Cymru.
