It’s common for universities to do very little to try and encourage all their students to learn some Welsh - but let’s take care to keep our discussions positive…

Thinking about it, nothing could deter a student more than being forced to learn something! (I mean something they haven’t actually come there to learn!) So folk are more likely to start wondering about this language and wanting to learn if not encouraged by their Uni! The new Dysgwr y Flwyddyn started studying Geography and ended up switching to Welsh!
