In normal conversation do people in N Wales normally omit the ‘Mae’ if they want to say quickly “Awful weather isn’t it?” e.g. Tywydd ofnadwy, ty’dy? :
In the same way that “it’s” was dropped in your english sentence, yes I believe so.

Yes I think so, throughout Wales when being informal.

Edit: Sorry, it would have been “Rwyt”, not “Mae” that was dropped that time, but hopefully I am making some sense.
