Yes, Aberhosan to Dylife is a killer, isn’t it? One of those roads you don’t enjoy until you look back on it from the comfort of the pub in the evening.

If you’ve got a spare hour or so, it’s worth taking your paniers off and doing a quick loop of the Elan Valley reservoirs before teatime.

Great to meet you last Wednesday, Mark. Your Welsh is mightily impressive for someone who began learning so recently.
I also spotted you wheeling your bike in the rain across the Pentre Bwyd on Saturday but didn’t get the chance to come and say hello. I’m hoping to get up to Saith Seren for the Candelas gig, so maybe we’ll bump into each other again then.
