I am organising an A.G.M. in Wales for a group of around 50 people. We need a venue. I know that the Welsh Groups have courses and facilities all over Wales. We usually take over a Youth Hostel. We need a kitchen, we cater for ourselves and approximately 2 rooms, one of which has to seat 50 people for the meetings. The A.G.M. is in May 2019. The venue would be booked from a Friday to a Sunday. Can anyone help with suggestions please. The group is a Peace organisation called ‘Servas’ our members range in age but the majority of them are over 40 years old.

Do you have any particular area in mind? Wales is a big little country!

Hello Siaron, We are very flexible. Somewhere suitable in Wales. We are holding it in Scotland this year. My personal preference would be somewhere in South Wales as I live here but honestly a good venue anywhere in Wales. North, South, Mid, West. It is the venue that is important. We need access to a kitchen, a couple of rooms to hold meetings, and sleeping arrangements for up to 50 people. Place to park camper vans and to camp. We usually hire Youth Hostels as we find their rates very competitive. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Well there are certainly quite a few youth hostels up here in Snowdonia, but (if you do end up choosing North) another place to consider might be Plas Tan y Blwch, the Snowdonia National Park Environmental Studies Centre.

Hello Siaron, I have just looked up Plas Tan y Blwch it looks absolutely perfect. I have been into contact with them, it is now a case of pricing and dates. Any other suggestions welcome until we have confirmed a venue.

Depending on how many people you need to accommodate, another possiblity is Trigonos.

Hello Margaret, We need to be able to take over a kitchen we usually cater ourselves. There could be as many as 50 of us. But thank you for your suggestion.
