Hi all,

Just a quick note to anyone wanting to learn Welsh in or around Ottawa, Canada. Paul Birt, Chair of Celtic Studies at the University of Ottawa, has started a small SSiW learner’s group. Our first gathering is going to be held October 9th, location to be announced.

We’re aiming for two lessons a week and are currently on lesson 3 / 4.

I live in Ottawa. Is there anybody still on the forum? This is an old thread now. Did the SSiW group ever get started?

The Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1520801464821041/) has quieted some, but to the best of my knowledge, the learners are still learning. We generally use the group to ask the resident experts any questions we have about the lessons offered by SSiW.

Largely virtual, with very occasional meet ups.
