When I was living in Southern Germany, I remember walking home on balmy summer evenings with the air of the town heavy with the scent of Linden trees. You don’t get that in Cymru very often!

There’s an estate in Swansea, with streets named after trees. Probably the longest of these is Linden Avenue. At one end is a pub called the Linden Tree and a church known as the Linden Fellowship
