Shopping in Cymraeg

I’m trying to shop more locally this Christmas and particularly want to support Welsh speaking shops so am collecting myself a list which I thought others might like to also see.

Who have I missed in the shopping stakes?

And is there anywhere that sells stuff other than books and bling? I LIKE books and bling but the Christmas gift world must be bigger than that right?

There is of course Bragdy Mws Piws in Porthmadog, but I don’t know to what extent they are Welsh speaking. Their website at least is a bit of both, but mainly non-Welsh.

I was going to suggest Bodlon (as they have a shop here in Cardiff full of stwff Cymraeg and staffed by Welsh-speakers), but their website appears to be in English. I’m a little shocked! I couldn’t find a ‘Cymraeg’ button anywhere, so if I’m wrong and someone can point one out that would be great. Otherwise … very poor marketing from them.

Update! There is a Welsh version of the Bodlon site - word ‘Welsh’ is there at the top right-hand corner in teeny-tiny letters.

Last time I bought stuff from Mws Piws by a combination of email and phone there was no need for English and yes, I did get what I thought I ordered😀

Here is another bookshop, but it also sells CDs and craft materials. Also very supportive to learners who need advice. Bys a Bawd, 29 Stryd Ddinbych, Llanrwst, Dyffryn Conwy LL26 0LL http://www.bysabawd.com/

Palas prints is a bookshop in Caernarfon. Fflur.co.uk is a Welsh Art Masters student in London but she’s set up a business.
Tamaidbach sell through eBay but are Welsh.

Should have said that Decadence (10% alcohol) is a highly recommended present. Just fit a seat belt on the sofa before drinking it.
