Hi all! A south Walian this week, pretty clear and unhurried I’d say. Topics - reading and running a business.
I don’t know if it’s the accent, the way she speaks, the content, the sound (that’s way clearer in more recent interviews), the fact that I’m doing Level 3 challenges now and these interviews were mostly meant for those who had finished it…rr the fact that if you keep on practicing you just see the results!
But at first listen I had never understood so much! I almost can’t believe it!
Well whatever it is, it’s cause for celebration!!
Yeah, really nice and clear. There are a couple of vocab curved balls in there, mind (well, hooked ones, actually) - just to keep us on our toes.
I suppose it’s worth remembering that all these Sgyrsiau are about ‘subjects’ in the main, to make it more interesting, but the types of conversations you’d be typically having day-to-day, the kind of ‘hello how are you, nice weather, how are the kids’ type chats, will be much easier and contain far less specialist vocab. But the development of wider vocab means being able to have those more in depth conversations too. Win win!
