The Manchester SSIW meet up is the 3rd Saturday in every month which means the next one is Saturday 20th August. We meet 10.30 onwards in Manchester Art Gallery Cafe. The cafe has recently had a makeover so we now meet in the main eating area as the smaller lounging area doesn’t have enough seats.

Everyone is welcome wherever you are with your Welsh. I will have to give my apologies for this one as I will be in Pen Llyn. As it’s holiday time, it may be worth checking on here and on the following Facebook pages to see if anyone is intending going.

The next Manchester SSIW Meet Up is this Saturday 17th September 10.30 am onward as always. See previous post for more details.

Hi, just noticed it’s the meetup tomorrow. Will try to be there though I haven’t done much Welsh recently and haven’t made it there this summer…

Blimey where has that month gone!! Next Saturday 15th October is our next Manchester Meet. Same time, same place. All welcome. We had a very good turn out last month. Look forward to seeing you there :slight_smile:

Hi, please could you give me some more information about your group? How many usually come and do you speak mostly Welsh or English? Is there a formal structure to your meetings or just informal chat? I would be interested in coming along to try it.

Hi Flora. There is no formal structure. We just meet and chat over a cuppa and usually a cake! There is no pressure to speak Welsh but there is usually also plenty of opportunity… We also often chat in English about Welsh matters. Our group size is unpredictable and can vary from 2 to 10. I will be there on Saturday and so far know of 2 others who are intending to go. We usually meet on the long table in the main cafe area. We say 10.30 start, but I tend to get there soon after opening at 10 to claim our table. It would be lovely to see you. :slight_smile:
