Say Something in Italian?

@tess Now this is a good idea!

Mmmā€¦ reviving an old thread:

Can anyone recommend anything similar to SSiW for learning Italian (with English as the interface language)? I donā€™t mean on-line courses such as Duolingo (which I think is very good), but something, well, SSiW-ish.

@aran it seems that many of us would love to have a SSiI!
Grazie fawr for any suggestionā€¦

Duolingo is terrible, frankly. Not good at all. A gimmick at best. Youā€™ll achieve more by reading, listening and speaking a language regularly than by wasting your time with gimmicky apps like Duolingo.

Iā€™m italian, and a former italian teacher for foreign business people.
I can help you if you need.

Hi

Have a look at Language Transfer, which has an introduction to Italian, There are some similarities to Say Something In, though also some significant differences. I have used it for Turkish and Arabic and it is brilliant, particularly given that it is completely free!
