I thought I would start a thread here about the Saturday Manchester Group, which is always the 3rd Saturday of each month, 10.30 onwards at the City Art Gallery Cafe. The next meeting will be Saturday 17th May 2014
I was also wondering how the group went last Saturday. I was in Scotland so wasn’t able to be there and I’ve heard that some who had intended going weren’t able to make it after all. Just hoping no one was left waiting on their own.
Unfortunately Gareth and I have been ill with heavy colds over the past week, so we’ve been trying to keep the germs to ourselves! We’re already planning our trip into Manchester for the next meet-up on 17th May. Looking forward to meeting you all then.

It was my first SSIW meet-up last Saturday. I’ve been meaning to come for a while, but with work and what not, I’d been unable until now 
There was 3 of us there this week. Myself, David and Ian. We chatted about wales, the language and work. Not all in Welsh, but I certainly enjoyed it and will definitely be there next month (work permitting)

New thread, new forum, and, for me, new resolutions. I hope to make it next time after a bit of an enforced hiatus, although it is a bit close to the elections.

Not sure if can make the next one as its my Mam’s 70th that weekend so may have to head back to Neath.
One of the things we chatted about was other resources for picking up Welsh words. I’m trying childrens books myself and recommended Sali Mali’s first 1000 words picture dictionary which was invaluable at bootcamp.
You can’t miss your Mam’s birthday Ian!! Hope she has a lovely day. Looking forward to hearing about your Bootcamp experiences when you next make it though. Will have to have a look at the Sali Mali book. Sounds about right for me!

Is anyone able to tell me if I can change the heading on this thread each month as on the old forum or do I need to start a new thread each month. I’m getting more used to the new forum but may well be missing seeing the obvious. I know the forum is still work in progress (thanks to Ifan) and that various features are gradually being added so guessing it’s not here yet.
I’m guessing new thread each month would be the best bet for the time being - but we should have some good new stuff for groups in the next few months…
