To celebrate their 50th anniversary, the Northern Poetry Library created a new poetic form (the 8-2-1, in honour of the Dewey Decimal classification for poetry) and launched a competition for poems in the form to build a collaborative ‘Poem of the North’ in five cantos of ten poems each, published one every three days for six months.
