Online Welsh Magazine on Nature

Reading through the “What’s Outside” thread which is always very interesting with wonderful photos, reminded me of the online Nature magazine.

It’s a monthly bulletin from Llên Natur, which are connected to Cymdeithas Edward Llwyd.

It has photos and short descriptions sent in by people from around the country.

Its format of short paragraphs and lots of photos keeps your interest even if you can’t understand everything, exposes you to different varieties of Welsh, and improves your vocabulary, especially on nature matters!

This is the latest issue-

And these are the back issues-

Well, I think they are interesting and useful, anyway!

Many thanks for the links.

I’m a member of Cymdeithas Edward Llwyd and it’s great. They send out really informative material which I take quite some time to read through - quite formal Welsh a lot of the time - but I’ve also been on a couple of their walks and they seem to be a great friendly bunch, with the added bonus that they’re all Welsh speakers!

Oo, I’ve been meaning to join for a while, but never got round to it!
Hopefully your recommendation will make me get up off my pen-ôl.

Interesting re the “formal Welsh” thing from them- a lot of the bulletin seems quite informal and dialecty to me, so might even be a good way to get hold of all sorts of different forms of Welsh!

@ramblingjohn - you’re welcome! Actually, was really reminded of the magazine because I thought of a lot of your photos looked as if they belonged in the bulletin!
