"No more war!" in Cymraeg

Hi all,

I met a Swedish guy recently, an artist and stonemason it turns out, who is making a piece with 52 stones (so far), each of which has “No More War” inscribed into it in a different language.

He would like to make a Welsh one - I said I thought I knew how to say that, but would check with my betters and drop him a line.

“Dim mwy rhyfel”, I reckoned - or maybe “dim mwy o ryfel”

But which one? Or should it instead be something like “Peidwch gyda phob y rhyfeloedd, twpsod!” which is admittedly a little longer …

I am pretty confident that he didn’t mean “Na! Mwy o ryfel!”

All (confident and accurate) help gratefully received. I know mistakes don’t matter, and I would say it’s not like it’s going to be carved in stone, but in this case …

Hi - ‘Dim mwy o ryfel’ is correct.

I just asked a friend of mine who’s been involved in the anti-war movement in Wales for a long time - he says he’d go for ‘Dim mwy o ryfela’ although the less literal ‘Dim rhyfela!’ maybe sounds a bit more natural… :sunny:
