Boreda pawb!
I am a KS2 teacher with some welsh speaking, reading and writing capabilities. I joined this morning and can speak sentences encouraged on day 1/2. I can’t seem to push on further (no ‘next’ button). Can anyone help?
Diolch.

I’ve found it! Must have been a short delay on the registration.
Can anyone advise how/when I can practise with others?
Bore da! I’m glad it started working.
SSiWers often use a program Slack to practice with each other. There’s a group, and you can email: admin@saysomethingin.com with the subject “WSP” for an invite. Pob lwc!
Croeso Gemma,
It sounds like you are cracking on - pob lwc.
You’re obviously all sorted on the idea of asking questions here too. Let us know how you are getting on!
Rich
Croeso Gemma,
Slack, as suggested by @sasha-lathrop, is good. You can look for someone to speak one to one, or you can join a hangout.
Depending on where you live, there might be a group near you who meet in person. Are you signed up to receive the newsletter? That gives a list of local groups who meet. They are not just in Wales, but in many places.
Have fun!
Sue
Good luck Gemma!
Welcome to the forum, Gemma, and good luck with the course…
Welcome to the forum and the SSiW community. I started here with some Welsh and have found it immensely useful to move forward, hope you find the same. Cheers.
Welcome, @gemma-mitchell! Welsh Speaking Practice (WSP) on Slack as suggested by others is a great way to get started. There are group hangouts for beginners (and others for any level) where you can practice speaking, or just listen if you don’t feel quite ready to jump in. You can also chat one on one with someone if you like. Pob lwc and let us know how you are doing!

This is a great attitude! Wanting to practice with others already is a great way to learn the language faster (or be more confused faster ). Finding other siaradwr (speakers) can be challenging, though, especially if you don’t live in Wales. Besides Slack, using Facebook to look for Welsh societies in your area, county, state, country can be helpful as well. If you live on the East Coast of the Untied States, I host a Welsh speaking meet up each Thursday from 7-8PM. You are welcome to join.
Hi Sue,
Thanks for your response. When referring to the newsletter, do you mean email service?
Diolch i ti! Dw i’n dod o Gymru a dw i’n byw yn Cymru. Mae rhaid i fi mynd i’r iaith Cymraeg grwp!
Apologies for grammar or spelling, I’m throwing it together! I’m sure I’ll get corrected but think that’s how best to learn!
Great Welsh sentences, Gemma! I know what you are saying. I don’t live I Wales but here are some excellent places to start.

Nicky Roberts (SSiW Member and 2018 Welsh Learner of the Year) has a website designed to help people learn Welsh and has a mentoring program that seems to be really useful. http://useyourwelsh.com
Hi Gemma,
Yes, I get a newsletter by e-mail. Sorry, but I can’t remember now how I signed up to get it. Someone will know.
Sue
Hi Gemma.
I think the best way to get put on the emailing list will be to contact Dee on this forum or e-mail admin@Saysomethingin.com I think that’s the correct address.
In the mean time here is the meetings list from a previous e-mail. Sorry for using so much space. I’ll probably edit this down in a few days to clear the mess.
