Would anyone be interested in getting together for practising Welsh during the day on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday in Whitchurch, north Cardiff? I have access to a public venue in the centre of the village. I don’t have many free evenings and Saturdays so I never manage to make it to the other SSiW gatherings. Hope to hear from someone

Any of the days are OK possibly except Thursday as I go to a Welsh Siarad Group in Rhiwbina in the morning

Looks like there are quite a few of us interested It would be really nice to have more opportunity to practice locally. I am always up for a coffee/cake/beer even if I can’t make a set time every week. Evenings also a possibility
Hi, I live in Rhiwbina and would be interested on either Tuesday morning or any time on Thursdays or Fridays.
I’m delighted that there are so many people interested in a Whitchurch meetup. I hope to meet you all soon. The venue is Aro Ling Buddhist Centre. This is behind Chambers Estate Agents, and accessed from the car park. These are the times that the centre could be available for us to get together: Tuesdays 1pm; Wednesdays 1pm or 3pm; Thursdays 1pm. I can be a little bit flexible on the times, but have to fit around the other daytime events at the centre. Please could we arrive at a decision on the most popular day and time out of the above? Sorry to those of you who mentioned evenings, but I specifically do not want to meet in the evening. There is the Mochyn Du meeting already for the evening.

PS I could possibly do 9:30 on either a Tuesday or Thursday as well, as the first centre session is not till 10:30.

As an aside, I heard there was a meetup in the Maltsters this Friday at 6 and wondered if anyone had been before/was planning to go and whether it was friendly to those of us with less Welsh

Sorry to have gone quiet for too long. I propose two meetups a week at Aro Ling Buddhist Centre. First on a Tuesday at 13:15 and second on a Wednesday at 16:15. I will be there anyway and will be delighted to welcome any dysgwyr who are able to call in. I suggest we aim for 30 minutes to an hour and see how we cope! No need to ring the bell, just come up. Dw i’n edrych ymlaen ar eich gwrdd chi. Do get in touch if you need directions.
Sorry but I will not be able to start these meetups till the second week in March. My mother died this morning and so I am closing the centre for 10 days. So let’s say that they can start on Tuesday 10th March. Mum was 98 and had not been well for a while. Looking forward to meeting you.
