I’ve gone back to blogging after a very long break. My blog is called ‘Cariad, Gwin a Chalpol’ - ‘chalpol’ is a mutation of Calpol and for those not in the UK, ‘Calpol’ is an infant suspension containing paracetamol, much like the US Tylenol - it’s a Godsend!
Anyway, my blog is in Welsh, mostly informal language and definitely Pen Llŷn dialect. It’s mostly all about my life experiences as a full time-ish Mam in a small community. I try and keep it lighthearted and fun.
Yeah, me too. Diolch am rannu, Catrin! The title ‘Porn carafannau’ was the first to catch my eye! Painted an amusing picture and I enjoyed what I was able to follow.
Hi Catrin: I’ve started reading your blog and found it warm, witty and charming! It’s definitely going to become one of my regular reads. It’s also a goldmine of new vocabulary! Any chance of it someday becoming an audio blog?
Gosh, I started this thread almost 2 years ago! I’m embarrassed to say that I haven’t blogged since!
It’s something I love doing, but haven’t found the time, unfortunately. I am in the throes of writing a novel, though, and thrillingly have a publisher interested! So watch this space… the dream is coming true… slowly.
Very nice! Like the understated humour of the grim reaper turning out to be a self conscious youth with dog poo… (I wonder which subjects are close to your heart at the moment?!)
Re. the novel:
I hope you would also consider (at some point).
a) An English translation
b) An audiobook version (yn y Gymraeg, wrth gwrs) (ideally read by your good self!).
Diolch so much to you for taking the time to read and give me some feedback. I really appreciate it. I’m hoping to be a little more prolific as time goes on, it’s just a matter of changing my habits and getting in to the swing of it. I may try to record an audio version of my latest short story as a starting point.
