Links to the GPC don´t keep the particular entry, they just link to the whole dictionary with a random entry displayed … which could be confusing to say the least. You need to enter the word you want. (Note: this is a pain IMO, some other online dictionaries allow you to save a link to the particular entry).

No, I wasn’t trying to link to the particular entry, just giving the link to the dictionary to save people looking for it. Yes would be handy if it worked like some other dictionaries in that respect.
Another slightly less than ideal feature of it is that you can’t copy and paste entries from it
(well only in graphic form using something like the snipping tool). I don’t know whether that’s for legal/copyright type reasons, or just a technical feature.

I’ve just looked up “scaffolding” on my Welsh dictionary app published by Bangor University and the first definition it gives is “crogbren”,
