Was just browsing the Ffrindiaith page (- yes, am actually thinking of taking the plunge…) . It defaults to the speakers list (fine), but when I click on the button to show the learners list it stays with speakers. I got over it by manually changing the URL but wasn’t sure whether this was just a problem for my PC (using latest version chrome), or something more general, so thought I’d mention it.
(Incidentally, I was amazed to see 11 speakers listed as being a mile or less from me. What an incredible resource!)
And me too! It looks like the ‘See Learners’ button is also assigned to the speakers page. It’s an easy fix so shouldn’t take too long before it’s working again.
I have the same issue on my tablet. This is a recent issue, because it worked fine before. Is it since you’ve put the ‘I understand’ button on there?
Note to self - I am meeting my Ffrindiaith for the third time this evening - we’re going to talk about gardening - I must tell you how I am getting on!
It doesn’t appear on the menu bar above the forum, but it appears at the top if you are in ‘Learn’ or ‘FAQ’. I am using an android smartphone.
Of course, if you use the SSiW app, then you won’t go onto the ‘Learn’ page; you’ll be downloading lessons from the app, so you might never see it without looking for it, which is a shame. A bit of a missed opportunity to promote FfrinDiaith. I have used it, and it set me off doing all kinds of things in the local area - now meetings with Welsh speakers just happen.
We were told that a separate app was being developed, so it didn’t make much sense to try and fit it into the SSiW app as well. I don’t know what the state of play is on that now - I guess things may well become clearer once the new ‘National Entity’ has been formed…
As for the link - I’m not sure why the ffrinDiaith link wouldn’t show from the forum - just not been built into the ‘make-it-look-like-the-same-site’ stuff, I guess.
