I thought it was just an issue with Safari/iPhone but I’m getting the same issue with Windows 10/Firefox:
The phrase is recited, the timer counts down, then the “Loading…” dialog shows until it times out and “Media not found [OK]” dialog is displayed. Clicking OK and the lesson has been stopped. Starting the lesson results in the Welsh text for the phrase being displayed, and the cycle continues.
This has been going on for quite a few days for me now.
@chris-peckham the AutoMagic prototype has been superceded by the latest SaySomethingin app, so you’d be better to swap to using that. As long as you sign in with the same email address it will pick up your progress and get you going from the correct place.
Thanks Deborah - I must have missed the message about that. First impressions are that every time I start the app., it takes me back to the same point (35% of green belt), so it feels buggy right now. I’ll miss the video of Automagic. Is there anywhere I can read about this decision?
Actually, that error message in AutoMagic is caused by reaching the end of the available video material. If you go into the Settings and switch off the video, it should carry on for you just giving the text, but then it’s the same as the new app anyway.
The video was an experiment in the AutoMagic prototype, but it was difficult to produce and the time and effort couldn’t be justified, as it didn’t make a huge difference to the learning for most people.
Are you saying that you get beyond 35% Green Belt, e.g. into Green plus White stripe, but when you start the app again, you’re back at 35% Green? That definitely shouldn’t be happening. Could you email admin@saysomethingin.com and give more information about that, with screenshots if possible? It will need more investigation.
