Shwmae pawb!

How would you say “homeschooling” yn Gymraeg? I haven’t been able to find anything in dictionaries so far.

To be more specific, here are two different contexts that I’m struggling with:

  • Homeschooling is becoming more and more popular.
  • Their children are home-schooled.

“Ysgol gartref” comes to mind… But isn’t that a bit too literal - clunky even? And while it might work in the first example, it probably wouldn’t work in the second one.

‘homeschooling’ would be addysg gartref. ‘home-schooled’ would be a little longer - and also involve mutation in the case of ‘her’ and ‘their’… “wedi cael ei addysg gartref” (he), “wedi cael ei/eu haddysg gartref” (her or their)
