Gwledd o gerddoriaeth/a feast of music, kicks off on, Wednesday and there’s masses going on… Interesting to see that, Bethan Gwanas and Meinir Gwilym are doing something together.
Bethan Gwanas just tweeted a selfie from hospital, unfortunately. Dislocated hip. I hope she recovers quickly.
Presumably the Carwyn Jones on the bill there is the ex bass player from Genod Droog, not the less famous one from down south.
Oooh! And Nesdi Jones!
If it is the one from down south he’ll need bodyguards in the prifdinas wir..
Ti’n siarad am Aberystwyth, wrth gwrs.
I fod yn onest, I had never heard of Meinir Gwilym until her name came up in another thread, so now I recognise the name when I see it. Just noticed she’s in this Radio Cymru programme:
Perhaps not a cheerful subject, but she sounds very pleasant, and a gog as well which is even better …
Ouch - creadur truan bach!
Eilyddwyd.
I think Meinir Gwilym would be a good singer for learners to listen to. I often struggle to make out the words of songs (and not just in Cymraeg!), but she seems to have a way of singing in which words come over very clearly - she has a nice way of playing with the words too
I learnt a lot of vocab listening to her.
