I’m on challenge 7 now. I’m having so much fun. In the very early challenges though, I did struggle with remembering Mae dal rhaid i fi or ma dal isie i fi. I also struggled with well i fi e.g. ‘well i fi fynd’ ‘I’d better go’ for some reason it wouldn’t stick. The only advise I can give is stick with it, there’s no rush! Enjoy it for what it is and keep going, it will come in the end. Pob lwc .
I cannot get level 4 to start the audio lesson there is just silence Help!
Hi Tessa, as far as I know there’s only 3 levels!
Can you explain a bit more of what you see or where you clicked or tapped so to understand what are you trying to listen?
Dear Gisela I have solved the problem! I had not recharged my tablet and it was lo w on energy (like its owner) so it had “frozen” My long suffering carer pointed out my mistake with weary patience. She is half my age so absorbed her IT knowledge with her baby milk! Thank you for your kind enquiry. I hope mistakes will not happen again, but those nice people at SSIW said to celebrate my mistakes! So thank you again for your concern. Best wishes Tessa
Hi Michael. I’m a beginner as you were in May and don’t know how to just post something so I’ve tagged onto you. Thanks. I’m just finishing my second lesson. Like you did I feel a bit overwhelmed but still there is a certain joy in picking up words and actually saying them aloud.
If you see people who learned Welsh (with SSiS or via other methods) confidently speaking the language, remember we were all beginners once.
Some people manage to learn very quickly and I admire their success. Some people (like me) take years, but it doesn’t matter. If you keep going at whatever pace is comfortable for you, you will be a confident speaker in the end. The key thing is not to stop. If you have to stop for a while because life gets too overwhelming, just start again when things calm down and keep going. You can do this!
Good advice. Diolch.
