For our learners who ALSO run their own business

This has just gone out to the email list - and Tatjana rather sensibly pointed out that quite a few people on here don’t get the email, so it would be a good idea to add it in here as well… :sunny:

So, what’s up? Well, 2 different stories have overlapped…

#1 - SaySomethingin…Everything

The first story is our dream of rolling out the SSi method to every other language. Yeah, we know that’s a bit on the ambitious side. But hey, it’s what we really want to do.

We’ve got some interesting stuff cooking for the next few weeks - a chance for existing learners to get access to everything we build, a Kickstarter campaign to take SSi out to all the other Celtic languages, and then before the end of the year we’ll be launching the EverySingleLanguage project.

And… we know lots of our learners run their own businesses.

And to be honest, we’re not the most ‘business savvy’ of people (we have some other strengths, we like to think!).

So… if we could get to know our most business savvy learners, we think we could:

a) learn a lot from you and

b) find some good ways to help promote your stuff as well.

Which leads me on to the second story:

#2 - The Next Level Mastermind group

A couple of months ago, I joined a paid-for Facebook mastermind group for business owners - well, actually, we were given access as a bonus for a piece of survey software we wanted.

But it’s turned out to be a remarkable community.

In fact, it’s the only business-focused community I’ve ever found that has the same kind of warmth and generosity that we’ve grown to expect in the SaySomethinginWelsh community (and you know that’s high praise!).

They’ve managed to create an atmosphere where even the most successful and experienced business owners want to be generous with their time and advice - and the range of experience and connections in there is just staggering.

Right now, they’re running an ‘introduce new members’ competition where you can get access to the group for a fortnight for $1 - it’s only running for another two or three days, so I’m sorry I didn’t post this earlier, but I’ve been away at the Eisteddfod (and enjoying myself too much in the SSiW party!).

We currently pay about £65 a month for our access - and if I carry on learning as much as I have been, and getting to know such brilliant, interesting and helpful people, there’s no way we’re ever going to stop our membership.

#3 - The Two Stories Overlap - Welsh as a Business Advantage

When I saw that the competition meant I could give you a link to test the water for $1, it dawned on me that this might be a brilliant place to build links between all our learners who are running businesses, and us ourselves as well.

I think a group of Welsh learners helping each other, and getting input from an incredible range of hugely successful business owners, and working together to help make the SaySomethinginEverything project take off…

Well, I think it could be a hugely valuable step for the Welsh language itself.

So I’d really love to see you in the group - you can get the $1 test at:

http://www.everysinglelanguage.com/nlm

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at my personal address: aranjones@gmail.com - and I hope you see this in time, because there’s only 2 or 3 days left of the $1 offer, I think.

Pob hwyl,

Aran

P.S. Oh, one last thing - the best way to get huge value out of this group is to focus on how you can help others - a bit like SSiW! - so it’s REALLY important you have that kind of positive, sharing attitude. When you do, the most interesting connections for you will flower naturally… I would hate for anyone connected to SSiW to join the group and be needy and demanding - so please only join in with this if you have the same kind of positive and enthusiastic attitude we expect here on the SSiW forum…

You might want to pin this @aran so it can be on the top of the list as long as needed. otherwise it will “fall down” the list and rerly who will see the topic.

(just a suggestional brainstruck in my head again) …

I appreciate that thought, Tatjana, but I don’t think there’s a great deal of interest, so I’m going to let it sink in its own time :sunny:

I actually wanted to press sad smiley button here but there’s not one to be done so. :sun_with_face:
