Feedback from S4C regarding iPlayer

In case anyone else had forgotten, I received the following response from S4C yesterday: -

"Our target for all S4C content to become available on the iPlayer is Autumn 2014 as stated when the plans were launched last year. We hope to update viewers regarding these plans soon.

Keep an eye on our website and the twitter feed @s4c for further developments."

It’s a race now between S4C content on i-player and Gareth Anscombe to see which is first to appear.

Yeah…anyone remember Sam Norton-Knight?

Far, far too well. Sigh.

My worry about this is the possible loss of the Welsh subtitles. Pobol y Cwm has been available on iPlayer for yonks, but only with English subtitles.

Whereas the same programme on Clic has choice of English or Welsh or none.

I hope we don’t lose that choice.

I know this has probably been discussed before, but there’s no way to (legally) stream S4C shows here in the States, is there? I’ve been watching the English language version of Hinterland here, but I’d really like to watch shows that are actually in Welsh! :frowning:

S’mae Texas?

Mae’r DVD Y Gwyll yn y Gymraeg ar gael o Amazon, ond mae’n fesiwn ar gyfer Prydain Fawr. Sut bynnag, os oes gen ti’r periant DVD cywir, faset ti’n medru chwarae’r disg yn iawn yn America.

Hwyl,

Stu

You can access geolocked content using a VPN service that has servers in the target region. Paid services are usually better for streamed content. And of course, you secure your online privacy at the same time. Which is nice.

Diolch!!! 'Dw i’n mynd i prynu e! (grammatical corrections welcome. )

Croeso! Gobeithio, fedri di ffeindio’r disg yn iawn!

Hwyl,

Stu

Hyweljohn,
Looks like it’s Gareth Anscombe! This weekend. Hope he does well.
