Fancy learning the ukulele in Welsh?

Menter Caerdydd has organised ukulele lessons through the medium of Welsh for beginning ukelele players! You will be taught by Mei Gwynedd who has played with Endaf Gremlin and Sibrydion, and can join in a group all playing ukulele together.

The course runs for 10 weeks (with a break at half term) and costs £80.

It will be held on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm starting on 24th September at Ysgol Plasmawr, Y Tyllgoed, Caerdydd.

It sounds like a great way to practise your Welsh and have lots of fun at the same time. Why didn’t they offer that when I still lived in Caerdydd?

Menter Caerffili are offering Ukelele lessons through the medium of Welsh now too.

Anyone who’s had a go at bootcamp will tell you that it can be a lot of fun, and you get to sing Welsh songs as well.

The tutor is Dafydd Roberts, the course costs £60 and runs for 8 weeks starting this Thursday (8/10) 6.30 pm to 8 pm. It is held in the top room at Capel Seilo, Ystrad Mynach.

You need to bring a ukelele with you, though they do have 5 they can lend out so you might be lucky.

To book your place, or get more information, phone 01443 820913, or email bethanjones@mentercaerffili.cymru

PS. Did anyone go on the course last year in Caerdydd? (See first post) It would be good to hear how you got on.
