Level 1 Challenge 21 - this does not seem to be “mae pawb yn moyn gofyn dy fam di” but “mae pawb yn moyn gofyn i dy fam di”, i.e. there is something between the “gofyn” and the “dy” which sounds like “i” and which I wouldn’t have expected to be there. What is it, please and why is it there? Diolch.

Gofyn is one of the verbs that is always followed by an i - literally it translates as “ask to” (Everyone wants to ask to your mother), which is why it’s often best not to try and translate word-for-word.
Don’t worry too much - you will pick it up naturally as you go through the course and until that happens, even if you leave it out, people will understand what you mean.
