Any chance, now that Level 2 is complete (and the guides are all here) that we’ll get the whole Level 2 course guide available in one place? Just checking …

It’s distinctly possible, but it may well happen after the Bootcamp/Monte Carlo season is over…

Curious - has this happened yet?

Not yet - I’m mostly focused on producing Level 3 right now - but keep on nudging and it will happen…

With regards to the course guide, I have a .pdf copy still by here. I think I sent you a link to it before, but if it is needed again I can resend it to you @aran.

To be honest, I tend to lose track a bit of what’s up and what’s not - do we not have a Course 1 guide up somewhere at the moment?

I’m aiming to do a full overhaul of all this sort of stuff once we get Level 3 finished…

Just by looking at what is available in the FAQ page, we have:-

  • Level 1 North guide, complete, and

  • Level 1 South guide, missing Challenges 24 and 25 (I have a complete guide here).

Level 2 isn’t available on the FAQ page as of yet, but I do have a complete North guide here, and the Southern guide is awaiting Challenge 25 now.

And finally, the old course guides appear to be complete with no broken links!

Gwych, diolch o galon, hugely useful. Yup, if you could send me the L1 South and the L2 north complete guides, I’ll get them up there… :star: :star2:

Sorry i have not been here in a long while. I am doing a little Cymraeg here & there but not enough to grow and improve. Besides my great upset about DB I had a rather more close to home upset last year, & a big change in my circumstances, which means my lifelong dream of owning a place on Ynys Mon has become less likely, if not impossible. It has been a huge blow and I found learning Cymraeg impossible with the prospect of ever living there slipping away. However, I am dipping in and out when I feel I can and still love visiting my island. Kind regards to all. X

I couldn’t hit the  because I don’t like the fact that your dream is threatened. I sympathise because I moved up to Yr Alban without a thought that I might never get to come home. I live in a beautiful place it just isn’t really MY beautiful place, so I understand. But learning yr hen iaith does help! Watching S4C helps! All the best to you, get a big cwtch from the Forum!

It always saddens me to hear when people’s dreams become harder to get.

This past year i’ve felt that same need, to go home, though strangely to somewhere i have never lived.

I hope you both get some of what you’d like.

Very sorry to hear that, Ruth - and I hope it will in the end turn out to be possible - wishing you all the best…

Diolch yn fawr pawb and many thanks for your kind messages. With my dream of ever getting a home on Ynys Mon becoming extremely unlikely i had months of total despondency in which my daily habit of walking Bill whilst doing a challenge was completely shelved…to be honest it just hurt too much. It is only in the past couple of months i have dipped in again, but i have been pleased at how much i remember and how easy it is to think of the words in Cymraeg with very little prompting (says a lot for your methods Aran!)
Today at work a wonderful group of 6 pensioners came in. I zoomed in immediately on the Welsh accent and asked, in Welsh (which would take ages for me to work out spelling wise!) ‘Do you speak Welsh?’ They were thrilled I spoke to them in Welsh. Asking me why i was learning, and how long i had been learning (all in Welsh) I even managed to say ‘it is hard to improve because I don’t get the chance to practise in Manchester’ – all of this in Welsh. I realise I am slowly coming back, despite my disappointment. I have all my lessons still downloaded onto my phone. It will take time to get completely back to where I was but I will do one day.

Don’t give up. Life moves in strange ways. You never know what may happen.

You see you don’t actually need to be on Ynys Mon to speak Welsh! Actually, years back, about 2005 ish, I met a Cymro Cymraeg in the local Co-op up here!
