Correct pronunciation of "ac"

According to John Morris-Jones (A Welsh Grammar Historical and Comparative) ac and nac should be ag and nag, however,
A: This is a nineteenth century book.
B: although the

B: Although the paper book was excellent the ebook is full of errors.
C: Welsh has many dialects and, thankfully, no prescriptive form was adopted for modern Welsh.

I just noticed this thread. Im probably stating the obvious, but in South Wales place names, the 'g" is often reverse mutated back to a “c” or ck :disappointed: Also with d to t. Although I’m stuggling to think of many instances off the top of my head when this happens with general words apart from ag and nag, though. Possibly, picoc for pigog (pointy/spikey).

it’s called calediad - Common in the South Wales valleys, like Cwm Tawe, but a disappearing thing, that I hear is mainly left to older speakers now I think. ydw becomes odw generally in South wales, but with a bit of calediad becomes otw.

Places like Ynysmeudwy become smitw, rhag as rac etc. It’s a bit like how words in middle Welsh were written.
