Just to add - the f of fy ofteb disappears in southern Welsh, so you’ll hear “y mrawd i” for my brother, and “yn (ch)waer i” for my sister. It’s not a rule, it’s just dialect. I suspect that “fy” had an n on the end at some time in it’s history, which would explain the nasal mutation that follows it quite neatly.
@aran Just finished 16. Looked at 17 and could see I am getting to be more 50/50 Gog/De!! However, towards the end of 16 I did find I was getting the words out faster and some of them were even right!!
I know I could force myself to say what @Iestyn says, but it feels so wrong! And, trying to actually sound Gog feels just as wrong. I always said my throat couldn’t stand Gogledd vowels!! To me, northerners sound as if they are choking, especially in English!!
