You should know that the only reason you don’t have folk like me and Tatjana queuing up to help is distance and, in my case, age and infirmity! We’d all love to help!
Are you in yet? How are the children’s schools affected? I’m not sure of ages, but I do suspect having at least one sibling helps. but you must have changed schools more often than me!
Yes, we’re getting well settled now - and looking to have everyone who came round for the paint-fest before the move back for a more relaxed visit in the near future…
The kids have on the whole settled excellently at their new school - few ups and downs, of course, but in general terms they’re clearly much more enthusiastic about it than they were at their old one…
And we seem to have landed in a particularly lovely community - apart from old friends visiting and family pitching in, we’ve had half a dozen impromptu visits from new neighbours just in the last week or so - all of which have turned into long chats, or even long evenings - there’s a definite feeling of coming home here for us…
And at some point, we’ll have the chalet fit for human habitation, and will be able to start inviting people to visit - which I’m sure will include a few invitations for some of the people who contribute most kindly to the forum…
Re the kids settling down, we’ve only got your word for that. Isn’t it about time we heard from Angharad again, to get the real lowdown on the new house, school etc?
Might be a fighting shot for that - we’ve missed last week’s recording, because Catrin was pretty much flat-out exhausted all week - and Angharad has been saying she’d like to do another one… so watch this space…
Diolch for the welcome today - I wish my garden looked liked yours, no wonder you fell in love with the place! (just make sure you have plenty of supplies ready for when it snows though! ;-)) x
I second everything Siaron said, it was really good to see everyone and have a chat.
The house, garden, area, views and potential for the place are all mind blowing.
Agreed . Such a nice location and was great to meet everyone today and have a chat
Oh, Sam84! Now I figure it out…
It was so lovely to see you all - a real delight of a day
We’re open door. Any time you’re in the area, call in - if we’re there, there’ll be a panad. Or Pimms…
Lovely for us all too.
Today i finally feel like a bit of a welsh speaker!
If they used to live on Pen Llyn, surely they are used to having full freezers and a well-stocked pantry? On Gower we made sure and our winters were much milder, just a bit wild and windy and wet!
