Can I listen to lessons offline?

Hi. I’ve just started learning Welsh and am on lesson 4 here: https://www.saysomethingin.com/welsh/course1

I’m using iPhone and iPad with wifi to listen but for the next few days will be without wifi and with lots of time on my hands and want to continue going through the lessons. Is it possible to download a group of them podcast-style to my iPhone/iPad to listen to offline?

Thanks

Paul

Paul - perhaps the easiest thing to do is to download the iOS app. Just search “say something in welsh” in the app store (it’s free). The app manages downloading a bunch of lessons to your iPhone for later listening off-line. But do check the “Apps: Known issues and workarounds” topic on the forum (just look near the top) - there’s a few quirks that you’ll most likely run into.

But if you’re feeling a little more bold  I can hook you up with the beta of the new iOS app. Just PM me.

Alternatively, and more fiddly, you can download the lessons as mp3 files from the SSiW site to your computer (assuming you have one of course), and then load them via iTunes to your iPhone/iPad

Thanks Iewie, I had already had a look on the AppStore but couldn’t find anything for SSiW (or SSi). I’ve checked again now and still nothing is showing up. I’m in the UK but my Apple account is linked to Belgium, where I used to live. I’ve noticed that this seems to block access to apps that I know exist but don’t show up in AppStore search (the ITV player, for example). Would that be the case here, and is there a way around it?

Thanks again,

Paul

Update: I’ve visited the App topic and used the link there to get to the app on the AppStore, all now well. Though I still don’t know why it doesn’t come up when I search there.

Thanks again,

Paul
