Automagic: Phone Only?

I’ve noticed that you get the following when you click on “Automagic” on the website:

Is Automagic only available on phones?
It’s not a problem for me if so, but just thought I’d ask!

As far as I know, it shouldn’t be phone-only. I’m not at my computer at the moment, but I accessed automagic.saysomethingin.com just fine now on my smartphone in “Desktop mode”, which usually renders the pages as if I was using a PC.
That said, the program version found at the above address is the Automagic prototype, so while remaining functional, it has been supplanted by a newer version, simply called “Saysomethingin”. That version has a load of other languages available, and even the Welsh courses (North and South) have had newer material added to it recently, so it may well be worth checking that out. On a PC you can access the new version through app.saysomethingin.com, and on smartphones you can find the app on the appropriate app store with the name Saysomethingin.

I happen to be at the computer and I seem to be able to access to automagic.saysomethingin.com just fine too, and I don’t get any error messages.

However I hadn’t tried the new version on the computer for a while and that doesn’t work on my computer, instead. But I don’t want to add confusion to this thread - do a few extra checks and see what happens!

Edit: Solved. It was a strange redirect on the browser, now they both work alright on my computer.

Something may not be quite right… I haven’t used Automagic on my PC for a while but I don’t remember it being like this… If I take the Learn link from the Forum, it opens what appears to be the Old Challenges. If I take the Automagic link on that page the app opens but it doesn’t have the German Beta course that I’m testing listed…

Thanks for the answers!

It seems that something isn’t quite right with at least some ways of accessing Automagic on computers.

Incidentally, I haven’t seen “How are you feeling today?” or “Fire Rocket Dragon” for a long time! I don’t think they’re showing on the phone version these days.

I’ll stick to the phone version for now, though that rapidly consumes battery power!

This is a mixture of issues.

If you click on ‘Learn’ in the situation @Cetra describes above, that takes you from the forum to the main website, but it defaults to the last thing you looked at there, so in Cetra’s case - Level 1, Challenge 1 of the audio files.

Clicking on ‘AutoMagic’ at that location still takes you to the Prototype, which has the Feelings Settings, e.g Fire Rocket Dragon, and contains Welsh and Spanish courses, but none of the new languages.

They are found either in the mobile app - SaySomethingin - or by going specifically to app.saysomethingin.com in a browser. There is no direct link as yet from the website.

I’ve tested the AutoMagic link using a couple of different email addresses though, and I don’t get the problem reported by @Cymdraegwn above. Can you try it again and see if you still get that message? If you do, can you note the date and time so that the Tech Team can check the error logs?

Thanks Deborah - I didn’t know that!

Thanks for the interesting info, Deborah!

Sure, I hope it’s OK to send a direct message to you with the details - it happens every time I click on “Automagic” on the right from here (and incidentally, “Automagic” only appears here when viewing the pre-Automagic Welsh and Spanish courses, not any of the other languages):
