I was just wandering through the forums, as I do occasionally, and came across an old one that talked about the SSiW/Agored Assessments. @Howard was kind enough to share this link with me at the time: https://www.saysomethingin.com/welsh/info/assessment but it comes up with a Page Not Found when I click it now. That’s a shame, because I feel I might be ready for something like that now.
If they are still being done, can anyone point me to info on pricing and format?
Not sure what the state of play is on this, but I know that @iestyn hasn’t found it smooth/easy, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if this wasn’t live now. I’ll ping him to flag this thread up
Thanks @henddraig, @Howard, and @aran. There’s no rush on this. I don’t need it for work or anything - just for my own guaging of my abilities. It would be lovely if it was available; but not necessary if it’s too much trouble or, frankly, if it’s too expensive.
No, unfortunately we never quite got the problems sorted to offer the full assesments. However, we have a project going with a local HE college to offer a different form of assesment which will also lead to an Agored assesment.
The actual test won;t be available very soon, but there is already a working model which is suitable for people who have competed the old course 1.
In the new year, I will be asking for some volunteers to try that out and see if it works as it should, before looking at how we make it available for the new levels (and ultimately our other courses as well)
Thanks, @Iestyn! Yes, I’ve completed all three levels of the old material and levels 1 and 2 of the new material (I’m just going through Level 3 of the new material now). I’m doing the Northern courses; although I’m fairly good at understanding Hwntw, as I Skype with a friend from Powys every week. Am I too far along, or could I still help with your testing in the new year? I’d really love to help if I can.
