Wow, will there really be new advanced content regularly again after the last few years’ hiatus?
I might try and get back into Welsh if so, though I have learnt to be extremely skeptical of any promises made, so I’ll just hope that this does actually happen!

Hi @Cymdraegwn!

We have been consistently uploading fresh Advanced Content every month from Bethan Gwanas and Daniel Glyn. Manon is now also joining them as a monthly content contributor.

So if you have a look at the advanced content page and scroll down you’ll find every episode!

Enjoy!

Diolch yn fawr iawn Catrin a Manon. Love Manon’s work and llongyfarchiadau to her. Had a few listens on a car journey to and from work today. Just the right level for me. I could understand quite a lot but still some challenges in there. I’ll really look forward to further ones.

Thanks - I’ll try and take a look over the summer!
It does seem a bit more difficult to study from without the transcripts, vocab lists etc. but I’ll give them a go.
I guess the shorter audios, a few minutes long, mean they’re easier to get through.

I don’t know if it has been said somewhere else, so I will ask it here. At which belt level should I start getting into advanced content?

Sorry, Demi, didn’t see this - it’s very much a matter of personal taste - the earlier you get into the advanced material, the more difficult it will seem at first, but the more opportunities you’ll be giving your brain to decode.

I tend to be a little bit ‘wanting everything to be neat and tidy’, so I would personally probably think in terms of reaching black belt first, and then starting advanced content - but there’s no reason not to go about it differently. It certainly won’t do any damage to start earlier, as long as you accept that the difficulty doesn’t mean you’re doing badly.

Perhaps one way to look at it would be to use the old accelerated listening exercises first, and only move on to advanced listening when the accelerated listening all feels as though you can understand it the whole way through.

Two more Daniel Glyn audios and Welsh transcripts and one additional Bethan Gwanas (titled ‘Gwenoliaid’) have been added to the Advanced Content: #47 and #48 in the Daniel Glyn series, #177 and #178 on the old App; and #42 in the Bethan Gwanas series, #176 on the old App. Here is an updated list:
